Aprés Nail

So, what exactly are Aprés nails? The Aprés Gel-X Nail Extension System uses the same materials as a gel manicure, but can create length past your natural nails, thanks to clear tips that are filed to blend seamlessly with them. There is no dust, odour or filing necessary, and they do not cause damage to your natural nail.  Aprés promises that the tips will stay attached for over three weeks and can be removed easily by soaking them with acetone for just 15 minutes, causing far less damage than acrylics.

Gel-X extensions are pliable like soft gel polish and have the length of a press-on or glue-on nail. The extension is made out of gel polish and is applied directly on top of your full natural nail which can then be cut and shaped to your preference.

Unlike acrylic or hard-gel extensions, Gel-X tips don't sit at the tip of the nails. Instead, they cover the entire nail bed from cuticle to edge. The system comes with various sizes of full-coverage tips, which allow you to customize whatever style you’d desire based on the size and shape of your finger. You can pick from short, medium, long, stiletto, coffin, round, or square shapes.

Once you've selected the shape and size of your nail, your natural nails are prepped with a pH bonder and nail primer. Next, your nails receive one coat of Extend Gel polish and are cured under a LED lamp. Once your natural nails are cured, then it is time to secure your extension. This is done by adding more of the Extend Gel polish to the inside of the tip (the side sitting on your nail) and curing it with the LED lamp. Once the tips are secured to the nail with gel and cured for a few seconds, gel polish can be added on top.
