Yumi Lash Lifts are a natural alternative to lash extensions and false lashes. The application process is similar to that of a perm for your eyelashes; where the goal is to train the lashes to curl upwards rather than sticking out straight. However, the difference between this treatment and of a perm is that no ammonia and perm solutions are used for this procedure, but rather a keratin treatment is applied to gain the same effect.

This is a quick and pain-free procedure that lasts anywhere between 6-8 weeks, depending on the amount of care put into preserving them. The procedure is very straight forward: two silicon pads are applied below your eyes on top of your lower lash line to keep them protected from the solution. This prevents the lower lashes from being curled upwards along with the lashes on the top lid. Then a solution is applied to the upper lashes that contains keratin, which helps to strengthen your lashes. Many clients find this to be a very restful and relaxing procedure, as all that is required is to simply sit back and close your eyes.

Lash lifts are a lower maintenance procedure than lash extensions are. With lash extensions it is important to be mindful not to over-wash your face and to try to avoid soaking the lashes in water, whereas lifts are more forgiving. Many clients opt for a lift especially when going on vacation to a destination where they want to spend time in the pool carelessly. A lash lift will not offer more volume though, since the focus of the procedure is on tinting and enhancing natural length.
